The Bournemouth Town Centre BID is inviting local businesses and volunteers to help spruce up the area during its annual clean-up event in Bournemouth on Wednesday 13 May 2026. Running from 11am to 1pm, the initiative encourages residents and local staff to work together to improve the town centre environment.
Participants are invited to gather for breakfast from 10.15am at Turtle Bay, which is located in The Citrus Building. Once the clean-up begins, the organisers will provide necessary equipment, including litter pickers and bin bags, for those taking part in the effort.
As an added incentive for volunteers, Lush has donated free bath bombs for those who join the event. This activity is part of the BID’s ongoing Clean and Green programme, which aims to make the town centre a more welcoming and vibrant place for visitors and businesses alike.
Chief Operating Officer Paul Kinvig noted that these cleaning efforts help create a better environment for visitors and improve prospects for local shops and services. The event has historically seen strong support, with volunteers in previous years collecting dozens of bags of rubbish to help maintain the area.
