Residents in Bournemouth can look forward to a mix of sunny intervals and occasional showers throughout the week, with temperatures fluctuating between 15°C and 19°C. According to the Met Office, the week begins with the Early May Bank Holiday on Monday 4 May 2026, which is expected to bring a high of 19°C and pleasant conditions for those heading outdoors.

While Monday will see sunny spells, Met Office Deputy Chief Forecaster Mark Sidaway noted the day will remain changeable with lingering cloud and some scattered showers. These showers are expected to be lighter and fewer than those seen over the past weekend.

Temperatures will be at their coolest mid-week, reaching 15°C on both Wednesday and Thursday. Rain is possible throughout the week, with the highest chance of showers occurring on Wednesday and Sunday, when the probability reaches 40 per cent. Wind gusts are also set to pick up as the week progresses, rising from 14mph on Monday to as high as 24mph by the weekend.

For those spending time outside, UV levels will reach a high on Thursday and Friday, meaning sun protection is recommended during midday hours. Pollen levels are expected to remain low across the region throughout the week. Air pollution levels, monitored by Defra, are forecast to be low on Monday and Tuesday before rising to moderate levels towards the end of the week.

As the week continues, days will become slightly longer, with sunrise moving from 05:37 on Monday to 05:27 by Sunday. Residents can also expect good to very good visibility throughout the week.
