Detectives Investigate Death of Woman in Bournemouth

An investigation has been launched after the body of a 51-year-old woman was found at an address in Paddington Grove, Bournemouth, in the early hours of Wednesday 1 July 2026. Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene following a call at 2.25am and confirmed the local woman had died, Dorset Police said.

Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team are treating the death as suspicious and a cordon remains in place while enquiries are carried out at the address. Chief Inspector Nicola Jenkins, who is leading the investigation, appealed directly for witnesses who may have noticed anything unusual in the Paddington Grove area between Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 1 July. “I am keen to speak to anyone who has witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Paddington Grove between Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 1 July 2026 to please come forward,” she said, adding that even small details could prove vital.

Residents will see an increased police presence in the area as officers carry out enquiries. The force confirmed the woman’s next of kin have been informed and asked the public to report information quoting occurrence number 55260097894.
