Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 50s was found injured on Ringwood Road on Sunday night.
Dorset Police received a report at about 8.20pm on 29 March 2026 after the ambulance service found the man near the junction with St Georges Drive. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Detectives from the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are now investigating how the man was injured. They are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and are asking anyone who was in the vicinity at the time to come forward. Police are also urging motorists who may have dashcam footage from Ringwood Road to check their recordings and contact them if they have any relevant information.
Detective Constable Steve Davis, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘We are reviewing CCTV in the area and are now appealing to anyone who witnessed an incident at the location around the relevant time to please come forward. I would also ask any motorists to check their dashcam footage if they were travelling along Ringwood Road to see if they may have captured anything of relevance to assist our enquiries.’
