The Terrace Bistro and South Terrace at the Bournemouth Pavilion in Bournemouth, Dorset, will reopen to the public on Thursday 26 March 2026. This reopening is timed to welcome local families and visitors just before the start of the Easter school holidays. The outdoor dining spaces, which overlook Bournemouth Gardens and the seafront, provide a refreshed area for the community to enjoy during the spring and summer months.

The venues are managed by BH Live, a registered charity and social enterprise, in partnership with BCP Council. Starting tomorrow, the bistro and terrace will be open from 12pm daily through to September 2026. This seasonal service restores a popular local dining spot for students and residents to gather near the coastline.

Visitors can choose from a menu of affordable food including stone-baked pizzas, hand-battered fish and chips, burgers, and hot dogs. The site also features a fully licensed bar serving spirits, cocktails, and beers, alongside ice creams and slush puppies. Mathijs Pol, the head of hospitality at BH Live, said the venues are perfect spots for families to unwind with food and drinks while looking at the gardens and coastline.

The Bournemouth Pavilion is a Grade II listed building that first opened in March 1929 and is owned by the local council. While the building is well known for its 1,500-seat theatre and ballroom, the bistro and terrace focus on providing outdoor dining for the peak tourism season.
