Witnesses Needed Following Delivery Rider Attack in Bournemouth

Dorset Police are asking for help from the public after a food delivery rider was attacked and had his bike stolen in Bournemouth, Dorset. The incident happened at around 7:45 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Central Gardens area.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was cycling near the tennis courts when he was approached by a group of teenagers. He suffered a fractured hand during the assault and his bicycle was taken by the group before they fled the scene.

Detective Staff Investigator Katy Miles of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole CID is leading the investigation. She is urging anyone who saw what happened or who might have video footage from a mobile phone, dashcam, or CCTV to come forward.
