Today, February 11, 2026, people looking for work in Camberley, Surrey, can attend a free workshop to learn how to start an apprenticeship. The event is hosted by Clarion Futures at the Camberley Jobcentre Plus (Surrey Heath House, Knoll Road, Camberley) from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.

The session is part of National Apprenticeship Week (Feb 9–15, 2026) and helps residents understand how local job training works. Staff will help attendees create a personal plan for their next career steps and offer one-on-one advice about available jobs.

The workshop is aimed at school leavers, parents returning to work, and anyone wanting a career change. By starting an apprenticeship, people can earn a wage while learning new skills in areas such as healthcare, construction, or digital services.

Surrey Heath Borough Council’s economic development material emphasises supporting local skills and employment; local initiatives that promote apprenticeships and training are consistent with that approach. Clarion Futures has also highlighted that the “earn-while-you-learn” apprenticeship model is an important route into work — particularly relevant given current cost-of-living pressures — and its advisers will be available at the session to help match individual skills to current local vacancies.

The Camberley Jobcentre Plus on Knoll Road will host the session this afternoon. The workshop is free; attendees are encouraged to pre-register through their Jobcentre Work Coach where possible to help organisers manage capacity.
