A Camberley man has been jailed for six years after threatening to kill a woman he was obsessed with. Susil Pun, 22, pleaded guilty to stalking involving fear of violence and harassment at Guildford Crown Court on 30 June, Surrey Police confirmed.

The court heard Pun told the victim, “Just watch what I’m going to do to her,” during a campaign of stalking that left the woman in fear of serious harm. The six-year prison term reflects the severity of the offences, which the judge deemed warranted a substantial custodial sentence. Pun, whose date of birth is 27 September 2003, entered guilty pleas to both charges.

The sentencing follows a string of serious stalking cases dealt with by Surrey courts in recent months. In April, a Godalming man received seven years and two months for repeated domestic abuse including stalking, while a Farnborough man was jailed for five years and three months in April for stalking that caused serious alarm. Updated sentencing guidelines for harassment and stalking took effect on 22 March, potentially shaping how judges approach such cases.

Surrey Police continue to urge anyone experiencing stalking to come forward, stressing that threats of violence are taken seriously and can lead to significant prison terms. A dedicated stalking news section on the force’s website highlights ongoing enforcement across the county.
