Organisers describe ShyneFest as an “award-winning” music and sports festival returning to the Surrey countryside on May 29–30, 2026. The two-day event, known as ShyneFest, will be held at Merrist Wood (part of Activate Learning) and features live tribute acts alongside outdoor coaching clinics for children.
Visitors can watch performances on the main stage or join a silent disco held in a secondary marquee during the evenings. The festival includes a dedicated sports zone with rugby and football coaching sessions for kids, as well as fishing opportunities using the college lake.
Students from Merrist Wood (Activate Learning) help with the site build, stewarding and health-and-safety roles as part of their vocational studies. The festival supports Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care, with a portion of proceeds and onsite fundraising traditionally helping to fund local palliative and end‑of‑life services.
Tickets are sold via the LiveIt ticket portal; children under five are admitted free (registration is typically required) and there are reduced-price tiers for teenagers (commonly the 12–17 age group). Residents in Camberley can drive to the site in approximately 20–25 minutes or use local buses — for example, the route advised by organisers is to catch the No. 3 (Stagecoach) to Ash, then the No. 20 (Kite) to Guildford, alighting at the nearby Fairlands Estate.
