Police Appeal After Cyclist Injured in Cheltenham Hit and Run

Gloucestershire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured in a suspected hit and run in Cheltenham on Friday 27 March 2026.

The collision happened at approximately 7.55pm on Orchard Way, near The Umbrella pub. A man in his 30s was struck by a car, which is believed to be a silver or grey saloon. The cyclist was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment after sustaining minor injuries.

According to police, the driver failed to stop to check on the cyclist or provide details before driving away in the direction of Princess Elizabeth Way. Officers are currently conducting enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

The police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward. Members of the public can submit video evidence or report information through the Operation SNAP portal, quoting incident number 409 of 27 March 2026.
