A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of selling Class A drugs in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire Police caught the local man on 10 March 2026 during the town’s horse racing festival.

Officers from neighbourhood teams in Cheltenham, Gloucester, and the Cotswolds worked together to find a car using police dogs and a drone. The team, which included PC Ryan Foxall and drone operator PC Cooper, made the arrest as part of a plan to keep the public safe.

The arrest was one of four made during the festival, which was attended by 226,223 people between 10 March and 13 March 2026. The man has been released on bail while officers look into reports of cocaine being offered to people at the event.

This action is part of a larger police project called Operation Endeavour, which targets crime gangs in the town. Police are focusing on areas like Moors Avenue in St Paul’s where residents have reported drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.
