Residents in Colchester, Essex, can meet with local and national employers face-to-face at a careers fair held at the Colchester Town Hall on February 25, 2026. The event, which runs from 10:00 to 14:00, gives jobseekers the chance to discuss current vacancies and hand over CVs directly to hiring managers. It is designed for anyone looking for work, an apprenticeship, or a change in career.
The session is organised by the UK Careers Fair, a group that runs recruitment events in more than 50 locations across the country. By meeting in person, candidates can bypass the usual online application process and get immediate advice on their CVs and job applications from the people doing the hiring.
One of the major exhibitors is Sierra Nevada Corporation Mission Systems UK, an aerospace and defence company that is recruiting for roles based in the local area. The firm holds a gold award for its support of the Ministry of Defence and is looking for veterans to fill technical roles, including service delivery managers for tactical communications.
Local mental health and community provider Bridge Support will also be at the hall to find new staff for their Essex-based services. They are currently looking for people to fill management positions and support worker roles to help provide care and assistance to residents across the county.
