A man has been charged with six offences following a police operation that seized £20,000 worth of Class A drugs in Colchester. The arrest was made after officers from Essex Police executed a warrant at a property in the Greenstead area on 16 April 2026.
The specialist Operation Raptor team, which works to disrupt drug supply networks, discovered crack cocaine and heroin during the search, along with £2,700 in cash. Rishik Parmar, 21, of Court Wood Lane in Croydon, was taken into custody following the discovery.
Parmar faces charges related to the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply those substances, and possessing criminal property. Additionally, he has been charged with threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place in connection with a separate incident that took place on Eld Lane in Colchester on 16 October 2025.
The Greenstead area has recently been the focus of targeted policing interventions to address local concerns regarding anti-social behaviour. Parmar is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday 15 May 2026.
