Residents in Crawley, West Sussex, are being invited to walk across hot coals and plastic bricks on Friday, March 6, 2026, to raise money for local end-of-life care. The charity fundraiser will take place from 7pm at Broadfield Stadium in partnership with Crawley Town FC and will help fund vital services for families across the region.
During the event, brave participants will walk barefoot across hot embers that can reach temperatures of more than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. A separate Lego walk is also available for children and young people under 18 who want to support St Catherine’s Hospice.
The Crawley Town Community Foundation is helping organise the evening at the Broadfield Stadium to bring local people together for the cause. All funds raised go directly toward helping the hospice provide medical and emotional support to roughly 2,000 people every year.
The hospice recently opened a new £19.5 million facility in Pease Pottage to replace its previous site and expand its reach. This purpose-built building was designed to help the charity care for the increasing number of residents who require specialist support in the local area.
