Crawley Town defender Theo Vassell has been named the club’s 2025-26 Community Champion by the Professional Footballers’ Association in recognition of his local charity work.
The award was presented on Saturday by Darren Ford, the head of the Crawley Town Community Foundation. Since joining the club on 1 January 2026, Vassell has been a regular presence at the charity’s events, which focus on health, education, and development across the area.
Mr Ford praised the 29-year-old centre-back for his active role in supporting participants since his arrival at the club earlier this year. He described the recognition as a much-deserved honour for the commitment the player has shown to local programmes.
The Foundation, which has served as the official charitable arm of the club since 2012, works to engage residents through various sport and education initiatives. Vassell follows in the footsteps of teammate Danilo Orsi, who received the same honour for the 2023-24 season.
