The Crawley Innovation Centre has launched a new programme of free business events and workshops in the Manor Royal Business District, aimed at helping local entrepreneurs grow their ventures. Starting on 14 April 2026, the centre is offering regular sessions covering topics such as podcast creation, intellectual property protection, artificial intelligence for marketing, and finding funding opportunities.

Located five minutes from London Gatwick Airport, the centre is owned by Crawley Borough Council and managed by Oxford Innovation Space. Centre Manager Shelley Furey said the programme was developed to provide an extra boost of support for local businesses in the current economic climate.

In addition to the workshops, the centre has formed a new partnership with London Gatwick Airport. This collaboration includes networking opportunities and a pitching competition designed to find creative solutions to real-world aviation challenges. The centre has also introduced a monthly initiative called Work From Here Wednesday, which offers free coworking space to freelancers and business owners on the last Wednesday of every month.

The Manor Royal Business District is home to more than 600 businesses employing over 30,000 people. Since opening in May 2025, the £13.15 million facility has aimed to support the creation of over 200 new jobs and benefit up to 40 local businesses directly. The building features 24 offices, seven light industrial workshops, and various meeting spaces, all of which were developed by Morgan Sindall Construction.
