Residents in Crawley, West Sussex, can now nominate local people for the 2026 Crawley Community Awards. The annual event recognises individuals who live, work, volunteer, or study in the town and have made a positive impact on the community.
The deadline for people to submit their nominations is midnight on Friday, 10 April 2026. After the nominations close, those who have been shortlisted will be invited to a special ceremony held at The Hawth theatre in May 2026.
The awards are organised by Crawley Borough Council in partnership with Crawley Observer and the town’s main theatre. London Gatwick is serving as the headline sponsor for this year’s event, which aims to highlight stories of local inspiration.
Last year, the event saw a record-breaking 771 nominations from across the town. Councillor Sue Mullins, who leads community and culture work for the council, said the awards are a vital opportunity to recognise those who make a real difference to life in Crawley.
