The Fleet & District Carnival Association has confirmed that its 70th-anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday, 4 July 2026, in Fleet, Hampshire. While it has been 70 years since the event was first founded in 1956, this year is officially the 66th annual carnival because of cancellations in previous years.

This year’s theme is Music Through The Decades, which will be the focus of the traditional parade and community floats. Organisers have also chosen Sebastian’s Action Trust as the charity of the year to help families with children facing life-limiting conditions.

The association is now asking for volunteers to help run the event and is accepting bookings for stalls and entries for the parade. Other planned activities for the summer celebration include the Prince & Princess Ball and a procession through the town centre.

Local businesses including Selbon Property, Farnborough Hill, and St. Nicholas’ School are supporting the 2026 event as sponsors. Community groups and residents are encouraged to join in the festivities to mark seven decades of the town’s largest summer gathering.
