Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary published camera images and CCTV appeals in late January 2026 to identify people linked to a cluster of thefts in Fleet, Hampshire. Officers are asking the public for help after a series of break-ins and shoplifting incidents across Fleet and nearby towns including Farnborough and Basingstoke.

Local officers are focusing on reports from Broomhurst Lane and surrounding residential areas where homes and vehicles have been targeted. The Basingstoke Gazette reported that two men attempted to break into a home and cars on Broomhurst Lane at around 4am on 21 January 2026. Members of the public with information were asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 44260031044.

Residents who have doorbell cameras or dashcams are being asked to check their footage for any suspicious activity. The force encourages people to submit footage securely via its Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS) / NICE Investigate community portal so investigators can receive material electronically.

You can also sign up for Hampshire Alert to receive the latest neighbourhood policing updates. Separately, registering your CCTV or doorbell cameras with the force’s DEMS/NICE Investigate community portal allows officers to request footage electronically if it is needed for an investigation, rather than visiting every property.
