Drivers in Fleet, Hampshire, should expect travel delays on Sunday 1 March 2026, as a section of the B3014 Fleet Road will be closed for essential resurfacing between the Elvetham Heath Way roundabout and the junction with the A30.

Hampshire County Council Highways says the road will be closed to all traffic to allow resurfacing intended to strengthen the highway and improve resilience to heavy traffic and winter damage.

Works are scheduled to start at 08:00 and finish by 20:00, but HCC warns these times are approximate and similar resurfacing projects in Fleet have occasionally overrun into the next day. Drivers and businesses are advised to plan alternative routes, allow extra travel time, and check the Hampshire County Council planned works updates before travelling.

Bus travel will be affected. Stagecoach South is expected to divert affected services; temporary stops or longer journey times may be introduced for passengers. See Stagecoach South service updates for route-specific information.

Hampshire County Council Highways says diversion signs will be placed at the A30 junction and around Fleet town centre to guide drivers, and local authorities have advised businesses in the Hart Shopping Centre to check with delivery partners to avoid delays during the one-day closure.
