Hampshire County Council announced on 4 March 2026 that it is updating fees and charges for library services in Fleet, Hampshire, with the new prices starting on 1 April 2026.
According to Hampshire Libraries, the cost for a replacement library card will be set at £2.60. People looking to hire a room at the library will also see changes, with prices starting from £6.50 per hour.
Basic library membership will remain free for anyone who lives, works, or studies in the county, according to Hampshire County Council. Reservation fees are also staying at their current levels, with adults paying £1.30 per item and children paying 15p per item.
Residents can view a full list of the upcoming changes by visiting the Hampshire Libraries website. These revisions are part of an effort to cover the costs of running local library branches.
