Residents in Fleet can expect a warming trend throughout this week, though the forecast includes a mix of sunshine and rain, according to the Met Office.

Temperatures in the area are set to rise from 12°C on Monday 13 April to a peak of 18°C by Friday 17 April. While the week will start with a frost risk on Monday morning, overnight temperatures are expected to climb, reaching 8°C by Friday night. The weekend will bring slightly cooler conditions, with temperatures settling at 16°C.

Wednesday 15 April is anticipated to be the wettest day of the week, featuring light rain and a 50-80% chance of precipitation throughout the morning and afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday will also be breezy, with wind gusts reaching up to 26mph and 27mph respectively. Outside of mid-week rain, conditions will remain largely dry with sunny intervals, although there is a small chance of late rain on Friday evening and early Saturday morning.

The Met Office has issued a warning regarding high pollen levels for much of the week, which are primarily driven by the birch pollen season. Pollen counts are expected to remain high from Monday through Friday, with a brief drop to moderate levels on Wednesday as rain clears the air. Senior Scientist Lucy Neal noted that warm, dry, and sunny conditions combined with breezes create ideal environments for trees to release pollen.

The current weather follows the seasonal transition typical of the UK, where spring is currently recognised as the fastest-warming season. With approximately 13 million people in the UK affected by hay fever, residents are advised to plan their outdoor activities accordingly as temperatures rise.
