Folkestone Invicta FC is launching a new football programme for teenagers in Tonbridge, offering local students the chance to balance professional sports training with their education starting in the 2026/27 season.
The club has partnered with Inspire Sport Football Academy to deliver the initiative at Leigh Academy Hugh Christie. The programme is designed for 16 to 18-year-olds and allows participants to study A-Level and BTEC qualifications while training daily. Players will also represent the club in fixtures held on Wednesday afternoons.
The academy will be led by Folkestone Invicta assistant manager Tom Parkinson, a qualified coach who also serves as the academy director for the partnership. The launch follows a successful period for the club, which was crowned Isthmian Premier Division champions on 4 April 2026, earning promotion to the National League South.
Those interested in joining the programme can attend a talent identification trial day on Monday 13 April 2026. The session will take place from 10:30am until 12pm at the academy site on White Cottage Road in Tonbridge.
