A 52-year-old lorry driver has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a collision on the A20 in Folkestone, Kent. The incident occurred near the Roundhill Tunnel at approximately 8:30pm on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, when a lorry struck a stopped car.
According to Kent Police, a white lorry crashed into a grey Peugeot 308 that was not moving at the time. The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to multiple injuries but has since been released to recover at home.
Tomasz Antoniewicz, from Bognor Regis, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court to face the charges. He was released on bail and will attend Canterbury Crown Court for a further hearing on 7 April 2026.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or have dashcam footage of the vehicles involved. Anyone with information should contact the authorities to help with the ongoing investigation into the crash.
