The Folkestone and Hythe Family Hubs has announced that the Folkestone Family Hub on Dover Road, Kent, will close for one week for essential building maintenance. The facility, located at CT20 1QF, will be shut from Monday 23 March 2026 until Friday 27 March 2026.
No services or drop-in sessions will run from the building while the maintenance work is carried out. Families who use the hub for health advice and community resources are being asked to plan for the closure and seek alternative support for that five-day period.
These hubs are part of a wider programme overseen by Kent County Council to provide a single place for parents to find help. The services are designed for families with children aged 0-19, or up to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities.
While some community resources in the area are hosted at The Marigold Centre on Shaftesbury Avenue, that site is managed separately by Age UK South Kent Coast. The Marigold Centre will not be affected by the maintenance works taking place at the Dover Road hub.
The Folkestone Family Hub is expected to resume its normal service once the building works are finished. Residents can get further updates or direct queries through the official social media and council channels for the local family hub network.
