Police Seek Witnesses After Serious Road Collision in Folkestone

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a serious road collision on the A20 in Folkestone, Kent, left a car driver with head injuries. The incident happened at around 8:40 pm on 3 March 2026 near the Roundhill Tunnel and involved a car and a large lorry.

A Peugeot 308 and a white MAN articulated lorry were both travelling in the same direction when the crash occurred. The driver of the Peugeot was taken to William Harvey Hospital for treatment for multiple injuries, including injuries to their head.

Officers arrested a 52-year-old man who was driving the lorry on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody while the investigation continues into how the collision happened.

The A20 was closed for several hours to allow emergency services to work at the scene but reopened by 1:45 am on 4 March 2026. Anyone who saw the vehicles before the crash or has recorded footage of the incident is asked to contact the authorities to help with their enquiries.
