Music fans in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, can look forward to a weekend of live performances as The Classic Rock Show visits The Glasshouse International Centre for Music on 24 January and 25 January 2026. The event will be held in Sage One, the venue’s flagship 1,640-capacity auditorium; the venue rebranded to The Glasshouse in September 2023 (previously known as Sage Gateshead).

The show features a cast of professional session musicians performing famous rock songs from artists such as Led Zeppelin, Queen and AC/DC. These are presented as a note-for-note live tribute that aims to closely replicate the original recordings. Tickets are available through the venue’s box office and major platforms including Ticketmaster (limited availability reported).

Gateshead Council and project planning documents show significant building work on the Gateshead Quays as part of the wider redevelopment. Visitors attending the concerts should be aware that some former surface car parks on the Quays have been taken for construction work; attendees may need to use the Glasshouse multi-storey car park or other town-centre car parks instead.

The two-night event is expected to draw over 3,200 fans across the weekend, which should help local businesses such as restaurants in Trinity Square and nearby hotels. The Classic Rock Show typically tours the UK in January/February and has frequently been one of the highest-selling stops in the North East, often requiring an additional night due to demand.
