A magical-themed market is returning to Gateshead on 28 February, 2026, offering families a free day out with local stalls and live entertainment. The Enchanted Markets will be held at Apse & Spire, located in the historic St Cuthbert’s Church in Tyne and Wear.

Visitors can expect a variety of local traders selling handmade goods, alongside live music and homemade treats from the venue cafe. The event also includes fundraising activities such as a tombola and raffles to support community projects at the site.

The venue, which is a Grade II-listed building, was previously known as Cafe Under The Spire before becoming a dedicated events space. According to details from Hitched.co.uk, the building is now used for various functions while continuing to host these community market days.

Organisers are currently looking for local stall holders and small businesses who want to sell their products at the event. Those interested in taking part can book their space now to join the other independent traders at the market.
