The Gateshead Beer & Music Festival will return to Low Fell in Tyne and Wear from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3, 2026. Organisers at Gateshead Rugby Football Club (Gateshead RFC) have confirmed the dates for the three-day event, which has grown to become one of the largest independent beer and music events in North East England.
Visitors to the 2026 event can expect a wider range of drinks than in previous years, with the addition of a new dedicated cocktail bar and a Retro Bar. These will sit alongside the usual cider bar, a craft can bar, and a selection of premium lagers and traditional ales. The food court is also being expanded to accommodate more variety, including artisanal wood-fired pizzas and paellas.
The music programme features 24 acts performing across two stages throughout the weekend. Local favourites such as Rivelino and The Sound Cartel are already among the acts confirmed to take part in the festivities. This variety of music and drink is intended to make the event welcoming for everyone in the community, not just traditional ale drinkers.
According to the organising committee, the festival serves as the primary annual fundraiser for Gateshead Rugby Football Club (Gateshead RFC), helping to maintain the club’s facilities and pitches. Tickets for the weekend are expected to be available soon through the official Gateshead RFC Ticket Store. Residents are encouraged to book early, as the event often sells out in advance.
