Residents in Haverhill, Suffolk, will have their bins emptied later than usual during the Easter 2026 holiday period. West Suffolk Council has confirmed that collections will be delayed because of the bank holidays on Friday, 3 April 2026, and Monday, 6 April 2026.
Most households can expect their bins to be picked up one day later than their usual day. This change to the timing of the service will stay in place until the normal routine starts again on Monday, 20 April 2026.
Council officials are asking people to use the official online portal to check the specific dates for their own street. Guidance for residents on how to manage their waste is also available from the Suffolk Waste Partnership.
These temporary changes come ahead of a bigger update to bin services arriving in June 2026. A new council programme called Better Recycling will soon introduce new collections for food waste and extra recycling across the region.
