Haverhill Rovers Football Club is inviting local businesses and vendors to book stalls at its annual Fireworks Night, after last year’s display drew a crowd of more than 1,200. The club advertised the stalls on X on 1 July, with inside pitches priced at £30 and outside spaces at £25. Enquiries should go to [email protected].
The event returns to The New Croft on Chalkstone Way, where the club’s first fireworks display launched in 2024. Organiser Paul Gardiner said the club spotted a gap in the town’s autumn calendar. “After the huge success of our Christmas Fayre and Fireworks last year we noticed that there was a gap in Haverhill for those wishing to attend a fireworks event, the closest being at least a 15 minute drive away,” he said. The 2025 event saw gates open at 6.30pm with fireworks at 7.30pm.
The 2024 debut drew more than 2,000 people, with Gardiner describing the town’s support as incredible. Founded in 1886, Haverhill Rovers is a 3 Star FA Charter Standard Community Club playing in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division. The Fireworks Night has quickly become one of its key community fundraisers, backed by Haverhill Town Council and staged at the New Croft stadium.
Vendors have several months to confirm their spot. The club’s 2025 event offered advance tickets at £7 for adults and £4 for children, giving stallholders access to a captive audience of families and residents.
