A brand-new Garden Show and Wellbeing Event will take place in Hinckley, Leicestershire, on May 16 and May 17, 2026. The two-day festival aims to transform the town centre into a space for gardening and health, featuring community stalls and garden displays. The event is organised by the Hinckley business group as part of a wider Year of Fun programme.
The show will feature garden designs created by local residents, a dedicated plant swap area, and a craft and garden market. Alongside the horticulture, visitors can participate in various wellness experiences designed to support physical and mental health. This new addition to the local calendar is supported by the Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.
The weekend also marks the start of the Music in the Mead free concert series. Live music will begin on May 16, 2026, at the Argents Mead bandstand to provide entertainment for families and shoppers visiting the garden show. Organisers hope the combination of music and gardening will attract a wide range of hobbyists and residents to the area.
Local garden designers, product vendors, and community groups are currently being invited to apply for stalls or exhibition space. The Hinckley business group is looking for people to showcase their creativity and help the town centre bloom. Residents who want to get involved in the festival can contact the organisers directly to find out more.
