The Met Office has confirmed that no weather warnings are in force for Hinckley, Leicestershire, for the period covering 8–12 February 2026, despite a forecast of light rain and breezy conditions over the coming days. The outlook suggests a period of relatively stable weather for the town.

Residents can expect mild daytime temperatures of around 9–11°C. While some wet spells and breezy conditions are likely, meteorologists say the expected rainfall does not meet the criteria for a Yellow, Amber or Red weather warning.

The GOV.UK ‘Check for flooding’ service shows a Flood Alert remains in place for the Sharnford/Hinckley target area as of 10:57am on 8 February 2026, although the five-day flood forecast for the area is listed as “very low.” This follows a period earlier in the month when local media reported that river levels were being closely monitored due to heavy rain.

Officials at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council say they are maintaining routine precautions because the ground remains saturated from earlier in the winter. That caution contrasts with the significant flooding experienced in January 2025, which has been the subject of regional coverage and subsequent reviews.

Drivers are encouraged to take care on low-lying roads such as Watling Street, where puddles and surface water may still form during showers. While no emergency restrictions are currently in place, routine precautions on wet roads are advised for anyone making outdoor plans this week.
