Residents in Hinckley can look forward to a week of dry, sunny weather as high pressure dominates the forecast across the United Kingdom. According to the Met Office, temperatures are expected to climb throughout the coming days, reaching a peak of 20°C this Saturday, 25 April 2026.

While days will be warm and sunny with very little chance of rain, the nights will remain chilly. A drop in temperature is expected on Friday morning, 24 April, when the mercury will fall to 0°C. This may lead to frost in rural areas around the historic Leicestershire market town. Drivers should also be aware of patchy mist expected between 4am and 6am on Friday morning, which may reduce visibility to 500 metres.

Throughout the week, wind speeds will remain light, and the chance of rain is less than 5 per cent for most hours. With the UV index at a moderate level, the Met Office advises residents to use sunscreen when spending time outdoors during the middle of the day. Those prone to allergies should note that pollen levels are expected to rise to high on Saturday and Sunday.

The current dry spell is part of a wider trend for the region, as eastern England has seen only 2 per cent of its typical April rainfall so far. This lack of rain is due to high pressure blocking weather systems from the Atlantic.

Hinckley is a town located in southwest Leicestershire, known for its long history in the hosiery industry, which dates back to 1640.
