Data from the Met Office shows that wind speeds will increase from 34 mph on Wednesday to the 42 mph peak on Thursday. These gusty conditions are common for the area during the early spring months as weather systems move across the hills.
Although thermometer readings will show a high of 11°C, the wind will make it feel significantly colder. Most people will experience a feels-like temperature of just 7°C when they are outside during the day.
