Ipswich Town Football Club has launched a new live music stage at its Portman Road stadium in Ipswich, Suffolk, to improve the matchday experience for supporters. The new area officially opened on 7 March 2026 for the home match against Leicester City, providing a dedicated space for pre-match entertainment.
According to Ipswich Town Football Club, the stage is located within the stadium FanZone. This new addition is designed to give fans more things to do before kick-off and will host live performances for the rest of the 2025/2026 season.
The club hopes the new stage will encourage people to arrive at the stadium earlier. This change is expected to increase the number of people in the area before the game, which might affect local parking and how busy nearby streets and pubs are on matchdays.
The FanZone has traditionally offered food, drinks, and activities for families, but this dedicated stage marks a permanent upgrade for live music. Fans visiting the stadium for future games this season can expect regular entertainment as part of the revamped matchday setup.
