Families in Ipswich, Suffolk, can attend a special nature event at Christchurch Mansion on March 30, 2026. The “Amazing Animals: Fluffy Animals” sessions, run by Colchester + Ipswich Museums, will give children and parents a chance to learn about science and nature through live animal interactions.

The event includes five one-hour sessions throughout the day at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. Each session takes place in the mansion’s Great Hall and is limited to 40 people per group. Tickets cost £6 per person for both adults and children.

These sessions take place on the first Monday of the Easter school holidays. While the mansion is normally closed to the public on Mondays, it will open specifically for this event to provide a low-cost activity for families.

The sessions are designed to encourage more people to visit the wider park area, which includes the Reg Driver Visitor Centre. This visitor hub was built following a £4.2 million renovation project to improve facilities for the community.
