Ipswich Fit is launching its 2026 February half-term programme on Monday, February 16, to provide children in Ipswich, Suffolk, with a full week of sports and swimming activities. The schedule runs until Friday, February 20, and aims to provide local parents and carers with affordable childcare options while keeping young people active during the school break.

Much of the action will take place at the Gainsborough Sports Centre, which recently reopened following a major redevelopment project. The modern, carbon-neutral building now features a new eight-court sports hall and a dedicated gymnastics centre for local families to use.

While sports camps and racquet games are held at Gainsborough and Whitton Sports Centre, intensive swimming lessons will be hosted at Crown Pools. According to Ipswich Borough Council, the programme is designed for children aged 5 to 16 and includes more than 200 individual sessions across the town during the week.

Families can book sessions through the Ipswich Fit website using the iCard system. This booking system offers different pricing levels to ensure the activities remain affordable for residents throughout the community.
