On 23 March 2026, the Met Office reported that residents in Kingswinford, West Midlands, will see a significant shift to colder and windier weather this week. The change follows a mild weekend and is expected to impact outdoor travel and daily routines as temperatures drop mid-week.

Daytime temperatures are forecast to fall from 14C on Monday to 8C on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. Overnight into Wednesday morning, it will feel as cold as -2C, with a 60 per cent chance of sleet showers expected around 6am.

Heavy rain is predicted to arrive on Tuesday evening, with the chance of rainfall reaching 95 per cent or higher during the night. Wind gusts are also expected to increase from 19mph on Monday to 40mph by Wednesday afternoon, creating blustery conditions for the local community.

Steve Willington, Chief Forecaster at the Met Office, stated that a shift to a cooler north-westerly airflow is bringing the drop in temperature. He explained that this weather pattern is typical for this time of year, though the forecast sits slightly below the historical average high of 9C for March.

The colder conditions are likely to last into Thursday morning, with a 30 per cent chance of wintry showers continuing through the early hours. While rain and wind will be prominent, official records indicate that flood warnings remain in force across England following the heavy rain forecast for Tuesday.
