Residents in Kingswinford, West Midlands, are set to enjoy a surprisingly warm day this week as local temperatures are expected to reach a high of 17°C on Thursday 5 March 2026. This sudden jump in temperature is much higher than the usual March average for the area and offers a brief break from the damp winter weather.

According to the Met Office, the day will feature sunny intervals and light winds with gusts only reaching about 19 mph. These pleasant conditions are expected to make outdoor tasks, school runs, and local shopping trips much easier for the community.

The expected warmth follows a winter and February that were previously described as dull and mild with frequent rain. Data from Weather Spark shows that these spring-like conditions are roughly 6-8 degrees higher than the typical daytime high of 9°C to 11°C usually seen at this time of year.

People are encouraged to make the most of the sunshine while it lasts, as the mild weather is not expected to continue into the weekend. By Friday morning, a cold front is likely to bring light rain and a sharp drop in temperature back down to around 9°C.
