Residents in Kingswinford can expect an unsettled and chilly week ahead, with the Met Office forecasting a mix of heavy rain and strong winds that will persist until the weekend.

Wednesday 13 May is set to be the wettest day of the week, with a 95 per cent chance of rain by 11am. Strong winds are also expected throughout the afternoon, with gusts reaching up to 38mph. While actual high temperatures will sit between 13°C and 15°C, the combination of wind and humidity will make it feel much colder, with feels-like temperatures dropping to between 7°C and 11°C on Tuesday and between 4°C and 9°C on Wednesday.

Although the weather is turning, the Environment Agency has reported that the risk of flooding across the region remains very low. There are currently no active weather warnings in place for the area.

The unsettled weather pattern is expected to continue through the remainder of the working week before potentially drying up for the weekend. While the weather will be cool and damp, those sensitive to allergies may find some relief, as pollen levels are forecast to remain low throughout the week.

Residents planning to be outdoors later in the week should note that UV levels are expected to rise to high on Thursday and Friday. It is recommended that sunscreen is used and shade is sought during the middle of the day to protect against sun exposure.
