Two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray following a fight inside the David Lloyd gym in Kirkby on 27 April 2026. Merseyside Police confirmed the arrests on 28 April after officers were called to the facility on Arbour Lane, located on the Knowsley Industrial Estate, at approximately 6.10pm the previous evening.
The individuals arrested are a 46-year-old man from Brighton-le-Sands, identified as YouTuber Billy Moore, and a 53-year-old man from Netherley, identified as Paul Carragher. According to police, the altercation took place within the men’s changing room and was witnessed by members of the public, including children, who were present in the gym at the time.
Detective Inspector Edward Barr of Merseyside Police described the incident stating “This would have been a shocking incident to witness, carried out in full view of members of the public nearby, including children.”
Videos showing parts of the altercation have circulated widely online. In response to the incident and the surrounding public discussion, Merseyside Police have urged members of the public not to post comments about the footage on social media. Billy Moore has since released a statement on his social media account claiming the circulating videos contain incorrect information and confirming he was arrested following the report made by the gym.
