Lancaster businesses will gather at The Borough in Dalton Square on Thursday 9 July for the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Summer BBQ. The Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce runs the event from 5.30pm to 8.00pm, promising a relaxed evening of food and networking in the city centre venue.
Tickets cost £20 for Chamber members, £30 for affiliate members and £35 for non-members, each including a BBQ meal and a welcome glass of fizz with a soft drink alternative available. This year’s sponsor is Peterson Energy Logistics, a supply chain specialist that has operated from Heysham for more than two decades.
The Borough occupies a Grade II listed Georgian building with a Victorian frontage at 3-5 Dalton Square. Before opening as a pub under the Horner family in 2006, the premises served as the Mayor of Lancaster’s house and later a working men’s club. A micro-brewery was added in 2013. The Chamber itself has supported North Lancashire businesses for over 120 years, holding regular networking breakfasts, training sessions and social events throughout the year.
