Police Seek Witnesses After Serious Collision In Lancaster

Lancaster Area Police are asking for witnesses and dashcam footage following a car crash on West Drive in Lancaster, Lancashire, that left a man with a serious head injury. The collision happened at approximately 11:30 am on 1 March 2026 and involved two cars, a Vauxhall Mokka and a Nissan Note.

While the incident was first reported to authorities as a minor crash involving only damage to the vehicles, the driver of the Nissan Note later became unwell. The man, who is in his 60s, was taken to hospital where he was found to have a significant head injury.

The driver remains in hospital for treatment while officers work to establish exactly what happened. The police are now looking for anyone who was in the West Drive area at the time and might have seen the two vehicles or captured the event on camera.
