Macclesfield FC has been named a finalist in the Ambassador of the Year category at the 2026 North Cheshire Business Awards, with the winner to be decided entirely by public vote. The club announced the nomination on its official website on 14 June, and voting remains open until Friday 19 June.

Unlike other award categories, the Ambassador of the Year accolade is determined solely by a public vote, with the highest-polling finalist crowned at the awards ceremony. Sponsorships Director Bob Trafford said the club was truly humbled by the selection. The award, sponsored by David Lewis, recognises organisations that go beyond commercial success to support the wider business community, raise the profile of North Cheshire and contribute to its ongoing growth.

The Silkmen are one of five finalists in contention, alongside Bollington Printshop, Jodrell Bank, Knutsford and District Lions Club and Macclesfield Nub News. Organised by the North Cheshire Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise, which represents almost 200 business members in the area, the awards traditionally culminate in a ceremony at De Vere Cranage Estate near Holmes Chapel, featuring an auction and raffle to benefit the Chamber’s Charity of the Year.

The club has urged supporters to vote via the North Cheshire Chamber website and share the appeal to help secure the title. Off the pitch, Macclesfield FC continues to build momentum, with 2026/27 season tickets on general sale and pre-season hospitality packages announced for home fixtures against Hyde United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and FC United of Manchester.
