Macclesfield FC is pairing business with pleasure at the Leasing.com Stadium this month, inviting local professionals to a networking breakfast before the club turns its attention to recruiting matchday staff. The Silkmen have locked in Tuesday 16 June for their latest Business Networking Event, running from 9.30am to 11am inside Bar Twenty Seven.

Run alongside the North Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, the morning will feature a buffet breakfast, a Chamber update, and a guest talk from Adrian Steinkamp, chairman of the South Cheshire Community Crew for the North West Air Ambulance Charity. Sponsorships Director Bob Trafford will also take the floor. “Our Business Networking Events really have taken off recently, and we would like to thank the North Cheshire Chamber of Commerce for all their help and support with this,” he said. Existing club sponsors can book free of charge, while the Chamber – which counts close to 200 members across Knutsford, Macclesfield, Wilmslow and beyond – will welcome any local business leader looking to expand their contacts.

Less than a fortnight later, the focus shifts to filling jobs. On Saturday 27 June, the club stages a Recruitment Event between midday and 3pm in the same venue, hunting for both paid staff and volunteers ahead of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North campaign. Paid roles include bar staff, waiting-on staff, and stewarding positions, with stewards asked to ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Sports. The voluntary posts span matchday media, stadium operations, and 50/50 draw and programme sellers. Anyone chasing a paid role should bring a full CV.

Both events are open to the public, giving residents a chance to connect with the club beyond the turnstiles as manager John Rooney and his squad gear up for the new season.
