The new Middlesbrough Employment and Skills Hub in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, will offer financial help for travel, meals, and work uniforms when it opens in its new central location this March 2026. This facility aims to remove practical barriers for residents looking for work by providing direct support alongside training and job search assistance.
Managed by Middlesbrough Community Learning, the service is moving into the Cleveland Centre shopping complex after construction finishes in early March 2026. According to Cllr Philippa Storey, the Deputy Mayor, the move will be completed by the end of the month with minimal disruption to training courses. The new site is located within a 10-minute walk of both the local bus and train stations.
Residents can access skills assessments, help with writing a CV, and sessions led by local employers to help them find a job. The completion of the facility arrives as the UK Careers Fair returns to the Riverside Stadium on 19 March 2026. This follows recent job events held at the Town Hall that focused on general vacancies and the hospitality sector to help more people find local roles.
