Middlesbrough Council will close the B1365 Newham Hall roundabout in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, for two nights at the end of March to finish essential road repairs. The overnight closures are scheduled for 30 March and 31 March 2026, with the road shut to drivers from 7pm until 6am each night.

Workers are returning to the site to complete the final connection of the road surfaces following earlier maintenance work carried out in mid-March. Between the overnight shifts, two-way traffic lights will be in operation during the day to help manage the flow of vehicles through the area.

These improvements are part of a 4.8 million pound project to build a new main road through the Newham Hall development. This new route runs from Bonnygrove Roundabout to the B1365 and is expected to be fully open by spring 2026.

The council-owned land at Newham Hall is being prepared for a large community project that is expected to include up to 1,000 new homes, a primary school, and local shops. Funding for the new road was provided by the central government to help unlock the site for future building work.

Drivers who usually use the B1365 in the evenings are advised to plan alternative routes for the final two nights of March. The work is one of several road projects currently taking place across the town to improve the condition of local streets and junctions.
