Police Arrest Two Teenagers After Shooting in Middlesbrough

Two teenagers are in custody after a shooting at a house in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, on February 23, 2026. An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested the following day by Cleveland Police.

The incident took place shortly before 10:45 PM at a property on Marshall Court in the Brambles Farm area. Witnesses reported seeing two people on a quad bike fire a gun at the window and door of the home before they drove away from the scene.

A person was inside the house at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured during the attack. The two suspects are currently being questioned by detectives on suspicion of possessing a firearm with the intent to endanger life.

Officers have increased their patrols in the Brambles Farm neighbourhood to provide reassurance to local residents. Detective Chief Inspector Daryll Tomlinson has asked anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to come forward using the police reference number 035028.
