Milton Keynes College Group and Thames Valley Police formalised a multi‑site safety partnership in February 2026 to improve safety and security for students across the college’s Milton Keynes sites in Buckinghamshire.
The collaboration will include regular police visits, safety workshops and drop‑in sessions for students and staff at Chaffron Way Campus, Bletchley Campus and the South Central Institute of Technology. Those activities align with the Milton Keynes Youth Justice Plan 2025–26, which emphasises early support for young people and preventing offending.
The project is supported by funding from the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Barber — including around £210,000 to extend the Operation Deter Youth programme — and wider PCC investment in violence‑prevention activity across the Thames Valley. Officers will be embedded in regular workshops and engagement sessions so they are not only called in for emergencies.
Sally Alexander, CEO & Group Principal of Milton Keynes College Group, said safety is the college’s top priority and the partnership includes joint security training for college staff to help protect the learning environment.
